About
Started in 2005, L.A. Green Bean (“LAgb”) sprouted in the mind of Ngoc Nguyen, founding editor, when she realized how even the smallest decisions by humans greatly impact the well-being of the environment. Focused on green news impacting Los Angeles, CA, but applicable anywhere on the planet, LAgb is a Los Angeles based website dedicated to providing a fresh edge and perspective on all things green.
LAgb reports on environmentally related stories through a new lens: we focus on telling a story of the environment that is integrated and holistic. The stories include environmental issues as well as related topics such as consumer trends, activism, human rights, justice, and public policy. Ultimately, LAgb sets out to show how being concerned about the environment involves more than getting a recycling bin. It involves understanding the complex web of topics that interact to affect the state of the Earth. Part social-conscious raising and part green news, LAgb posts original stories on environmentally friendly products, eco-fashion, eco-minded businesses and organizations, eco-design, sustainability, environmental law, and much more.
